I think lingerie gets a weird rap, I’m not gonna say bad rap, but I think we twist it into thinking lingerie is only for our partners. What if we flipped it and used it instead as a tool to celebrate ourselves, to make ourselves feel sexy and worthy of feeling sexy? I think acquiring plus size lingerie that speaks to your inner saucy self is one of the greatest steps in creating an aura of self love around yourself.
I always liked the idea of lingerie but often scoffed and thought “but *I* won’t look good in ~that~” so I put it off in my “someday I’ll get into that” list and put it on a shelf. But this winter I went to a local lingerie fashion show with my friend @quirkyandcurvy { she’s a lingerie QUEEN, you should be following her! } and was completely wowed by the beautiful pieces available, pieces that are even available and look AMAZING on plus size bodies! Ever since it’s had me thinking about acquiring lingerie that makes me feel that special type of way.

I’ve put together a resource of where you can find plus size lingerie so you can celebrate yourself and, if they’re lucky, someone special might just get to take a gander at it too!

The items I have featured here are from Hips & Curves and Dolls Kill, one is a lingerie focused brand while the other is an alternative retailer that has recently expanded their size range. There are other clothing brands that also have a smidge of sexy mixed in with their regular lines, like Boohoo. So I thought I’d share a resource of brands you can shop to find the underpinnings that make your heart beat a little bit faster!
1. Hips & Curves – Lingerie for Curvy Women Sizes 10-28
Hips and Curves is a women owned site that caters to sizes 10-28. They carry lingerie, hosiery, affordable steel boned corsets, as well as costumes! Not all items come in the full size range, so be sure to check the size listings or search your size in the search bar.
2. ELOQUII – Sizes 14-28
Eloquii is an upscale plus size brand that ventured into lingerie last year and the results, like everything they do, is BEAUTIFUL! Eloquii is feels extra luxurious, but hits a mid price range so you can feel indulgent without spending hundreds on a single piece.
3. Adore Me 1X-3X Bras up to 46DDD
Adore Me can work as a subscription box service if that’s your jam, but you can also place individual orders if you don’t want to sign up for a monthly subscription, which is something I really appreciate. In addition to lingerie offered in up to 3X, they also carry some excellent swimsuits and active wear!
4. Playful Promises- Sizes 4-26 / Bras up to 44K
Playful Promises came onto many plus babes radar when GabiFresh released a collaboration with the UK brand. They carry oodles of saucy items and have recently released a 2nd offering from GabiFresh that is FIRE! I’m wearing the velvet bralette from that release in this post!
5. Universal Standard – Sizes 6 – 32
Universal Standard released a line of lounge wear that leans more on the comfy side than sexy, but comfort reigns supreme when you’re celebrating yourself!
6. Boohoo – Sizes 12-20/22
Now, Boohoo is a clothing retailer, but I find they get plenty in that can pass as lingerie. Their size range is on the smaller end, but I can attest that many of their size 20US items fit a 22/24 as long as it’s not woven, you’re golden. { bless Lycra! }
7. Chubby Cartwheels – Sizes 1X – 5X {custome sizing available}
Chubby Cartwheels is my very favourite independent plus brand, full disclosure, I’m pals with the Shawna, the head bitch in charge of everything { we’ve had sleepovers! } and when I say everything, I mean it. Chubby Cartwheels is conceptualized, drafted, cut, sewn, packaged and delivered by Shawna. So when you buy a piece from her, you are supporting not only a small business, but a plus size creative to thrive!
Every February Shawna participates in the Unmentionables Lingerie show in Portland Or and we get to reap the rewards of her hard work, her newest release should be dropping any moment now, but you can check her instagram to see what we’ll be getting!
8. Impish Lee – Sizes 0 – 30
I discovered Impish Lee when Corissa of Fat Girl Flow collaborated with the New York based indie brand. They price luxurious materials and hand craft each piece. They recently launched a Designe Tool that lets you customize a design that makes your heart go pitter patter!
9. Torrid – Sizes 10 – 30
Torrid probably makes everyone’s favourite bralettes, so I gotta include them in this list! In addition to cute fashionable plus size bralettes, they have cute matching sets, lounge wear, strapless bras and more!
10. Allihalla – Sizes 2 – 30 {custom sizing available}
Allihalla is another independent designer out of Portland. In addition to the badass custom size disco pants of my dreams, they also make adorable knickers, bike shorts and bralettes!
11. Ashley Stewart – Sizes 10 – 36
Ashely Stewart is known for offering trendy plus size clothing, but they also Dare you to BARE it all in extremely sexy pieces!
12. Forever Yours Lingerie – Sizes 4-32 / Bras up to a 50N
Forever Yours is a Canadian shop located in Langley BC, but they offer their full catalogue online fr your shopping enjoyment! They carry oodles amazing brands and to babes located in or around Vancouver, this is a MUST SHOP destination!
