Warning: I’m about to use a lot of Spice Girls references in this post so turn back now or ziga ziga onto the rest of the post (told you)! My pals and I got together a few weeks ago for late lunch at the Drake Hotel in Toronto. Seeing as we’re all bloggers and all kind of in love with ourselves, we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. The results? Pure, unintended Spice Girls heaven! I already took a poll on my instagram, but I’m fairly certain I’m (cry) baby spice. I mean, I’m sure I’m also a little bit of Posh and Ginger too but these days, its all Baby spice for me!
Let’s talk about my outfit for a little bit, shall we? I was feeling very pastel, very child who can’t decide on one look so I threw it all on, yanno? I think it worked for the most part, but I definitely don’t dig the sunglasses AS much with the whole look. Sometimes, I can go for the very easy pairing. A pink skirt with a white top, etc, but its fun to play around in other ways. Truth be told, I hear my friend Allie’s words whenever I pair things that are outside of my form; “It doesn’t have to match, it just has to work”. I guess some would say I was trying to spice up my life
I’m a suck so I’m going to take a moment to talk about how important it is to have some girl power in your life! I cherish these beautiful woman so much. Some I know very well, some are new friends and others are friends I reconnected with. However, as someone who struggles with social anxiety, it’s always such a big deal to get with a group of people to talk. Not with these beautiful, lovely people, though! We had so much to say, and so much support to pass around! You can never have Too Much support in your life and I genuinely felt so uplifted after meeting with them. More Girl Power 2k18!!!
