Bonjour les chéris!! This past week, I went to go visit my younger sister in another city. My mother and I always look forward to the relaxing bus ride and calmness of her town. It’s always a treat to visit. I know I can always count on my sis to take great outfit photos of me as well! She has a background in communications and media, which makes her the perfect photographer. Thanks Jane!
This ELOQUII dress has been sitting in my closet ever since I got it last fall. I’m not one to wear burgundy prints when so many pastels are out there and waiting to be worn. However, something about this dress just kept calling to me.
Do you ever plan a whole look in your head and then it just doesn’t execute the way you expected? Yah, that’s how I feel about this look. I remember what I didn’t love about this dress, and thats the length of it. I’ll probably hem it before wearing it again, because the length just kind of kills the look I was hoping for. Additionally, I’d swap out the tights from something far less opaque. But thats just me!
I don’t want to sound like I’m hating on this outfit, because I actually really do love the way it turned out. I’m really digging working with muted colours, since its so out of my usual colour palette. If you haven’t already noticed, I’m also really into creating workwear looks and this one would be great for a day at the coffee shop. In fact, that was the inspiration behind it.
How would you wear this dress? Would you dress it up, wear it to the office or keep it casual? Let me know!
