When I think classic, smart and sophisticated brands, Talbots is definitely at the top of the list. Season after season I find myself falling in love with some of their pieces and I just have to have them. This fall was no different. When I laid eyes on this glen plaid vest I was like, I can’t wait to wear that everyday, lol! The vest is classic and timeless. It will look perfect now and 3 or 5+ years later. It’s pricey for most but definitely worth it when you factor cost per wear.
I’m already planning to wear it with to wear it with a turtleneck dress and over the knee boots! This time I wore with a classic white top (also Talbots). The sleeves give it a little pizzazz! You can never have too many white shirts. When it doubt, pull it out. You will always look put together and smart!
These Talbots jeans are super comfy and rich in color. I didn’t have a pair that were classic blue without tears and rips in them. These hit all the right buttons for the perfect basic pair of denim for fall.
Can’t forget my adorable loafers! I don’t know about you but I have had a thing with loafers this year and I literally love these. They are made from really great materials and the color is like pumpkin spice! I have worn them like 50 times already, guys.
Hope you like the look. I’m really feeling Talbots right now and I also love their current campaign which is aimed at empowering ladies like you and me! Here’s a bit of what’s this campaign is about:
The term “lady” has previously been used to describe a “gentle and polite woman.” But today, being a lady doesn’t come with the same set of prim and proper rules, manners and meanings it did fifty years ago. Which is why we at Talbots – a company made up of 92% women – are here to evolve this old-fashioned word and celebrate the modern classic women redefining it. Because today, being a “lady” is defining it for yourself and being unapologetically you – real, confident, fun and imperfectly enchanting. So let’s politely set the record straight, shall we? #BecauseImALady
