Hi loves! With warmer weather around the corner, it's time to bring out your light and flowy dresses and separates. I partnered with Stage Stores to share one of their newest summertime arrivals, the embroidered cold shoulder dress. I didn't know about Stage Stores until I saw Rochelle from Beauticurve review their jeans. She looked so fab! It turns out Stage carries a range of styles (like classic, trendy, and formal) at great prices in both women and junior plus.
I chose this dress because it is a departure from my normal fit and flare silhouette. I love the navy blue color and cold shoulder cut outs. The star of this dress is the embroidery. The mix of colors, shapes, and craftsmanship give this dress so much character. As a top trend for spring and summer, embroidery is an easy way to channel boho chic vibes. It's also a fun and less intimidating way to play with patterns if you normally wear solid colors. To make the most of those boho vibes, try pairing this dress with a long pendant necklace, layered bracelets, and summer hat.
Wearing a size 24 (their largest size), I found this dress to be short, like really, really short. It's so short, it gave me flashbacks me of my high school cheer uniforms. Now those were short skirts! I thought the dress was going to hit slightly above the knee, but it stops at my upper thighs. The length may be different for you if you’re shorter or taller than me (I’m 5’4”) and not as round in the stomach. The fabric, though smooth and lightweight, has little stretch and easily wrinkles. On the other hand, the lining on the inside offers plenty of stretch and makes the body of the dress opaque.

I’m glad to know Stage Stores exists and I’m happy to share them with you in case you haven’t heard of them. Even though they only go up to size 24 (hopefully that will change one day), it's nice to have another option for plus size fashion, especially when it comes to shopping in person. Here’s a link to their store locations and online selection of women’s plus sizes and junior plus sizes. I would love to know how their clothes work out for you if you give them a try!
